AVOID ALCOHOL AND DRUGS
Some people sometimes resort to alcohol or drugs for “self-medication” but this method exacerbates further problems.
Exercise & frees up chemicals in the brain that stimulate and increase a good mood. Exercise promotes self-confidence, helps focusing, relieves stress and improves sleep as well and add a glow to your appearance and feeling. It is also
keeps the brain and other vital organs in a good health.
GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP
What we feel can affect our sleep patterns and not sleeping enough would affect what we feel physically and psychologically during our waking hours. This contributes positively to our mental health. Sleep disorder or insomnia affects hormone
levels and our nerve function in the brain. This will cause weakening in our thinking and emotional regulation and being fatigue during the day.
Stress is a common issue in our everyday life but constant stress may affect our health. Whatever the causes of stress are we can learn the ways to reduce stress and treat stress well including stress at work (stress management).
A few minutes is enough to relieve stress and help improve mood.
Steroids such as caffeine, energy drinks, tobacco as well as some other medications negatively affect our overall health and may contribute to long-term psychological problems & addiction. Therefore, it is better to avoid them altogether or reduce the
amount and number of times we may use it.

We all sometimes feel tired or stressed. However if things get more complicated and we find it difficult to deal with them then it is important to seek help from someone we trust or to seek help and support from a specialist.
Good mental health enhances confidence and self-esteem and enables a person to enjoy and appreciate other people. When the person is mentally healthy he/she can form positive relationships, use the abilities to reach their potential and deal with life’s challenges. Being mentally or emotionally healthy is much more than being free of depression, anxiety, or other psychological issues. Your mental health influences how you think, feel, and behave in daily life. It also affects your ability to cope with stress, overcome challenges, build relationships, and recover from life’s setbacks and hardships.
